We receive over 165 pets each week!
Here are two wonderful pets looking for new homes:

Gideon, #51884
Jake, #52630

Meet Gideon!

In spite of his 3 legs, this cat conquers all! Gideon came to the shelter with a shattered hind leg. We amputated his leg, then placed him in a foster home while he was rehabilitating. This is what his foster mom had to say about him:

"Gideon is friendly immediately. He pushes your hand with his head to get petted. He likes to sit stoically by your side like a lion standing guard. He doesn't need a lot of attention but will come sit by your side when he needs a little petting and comforting words.

Gideon gets along great on 3 legs. He hops/walks all over the place! He runs really well too; I can hardly tell he's missing a leg. He jumps up to the window sill, goes up and down my stairs.

He is a beautiful cat with a wise soul.

Meet Jake!

Jake is a lovable German Shepherd – Husky mix. He’s around a year old and loves to play--he'll need a fenced yard! Jake knows sit; although he loves to bounce while “sitting”. He has a wonderful personality and temperament. The people who brought him to the shelter didn’t tie down their crate and took the turn into the shelter way too fast. Poor Jake was rolled in his crate and covered with nasties. Out of this mess--which could have turned the sweetest dog mean--came Jake with his big ol’ grin just waiting to love and be loved.

This is definitely a dog whose bark is more ferocious than his bite. He has a deep bark when you first meet him, but don’t be alarmed, that’s just his goofy way of saying “HI!”
